Unfortunately, this restaurant is not super noticeable from the outside. However, thinking I could get pizza to go, I walked in. Inside, before the interior doors, I realized it was dine in only and was about to turn around and walk out, but someone came in behind me and I thought....why not and went inside. Took me a minute to be seated. It was a Tuesday and I entered around 6-6:30 pm. There were plenty of people already eating and more came and went the entire time I was there. The main dining area is quaint with good traditional Italian decor. I noticed they replace each table cloth when diners are finished (Ty!). Plenty of room inside as far as proximity to the next table. Carmello was my waiter and he was most professional, personable and attentive. The rest of the staff was quick to respond to any requests and take finished plates away from the table immediately (which I love). Fresh bread and butter was placed on the table shortly after I settled in. For appetizers I ordered Mozzarella with Roasted Peppers as well as Chopped Bake Clams. Those came out in about 10 minutes. Portions were apt and I finished both plates off like a champion food eater. Both absolutely delicious! For the entree I decided to get the Shrimp Scampi which came with a soup or salad (I chose salad) and a vegetable side (I chose spinach). I also finished the salad and the shrimp, but couldn’t get all the spinach down. Shrimp, cooked perfectly was juicy and robust. Melted in my mouth. It’s so refreshing to finally find a restaurant that knows how to do everything right!!! When I sat down I was a little price oriented (and the menu might be considered pricey) but as I started eating the food that was cooked to absolute perfection, I began not caring at all how much it was all going to be! Excellent chefs and flavorful dishes will have me coming back for more! This was my first time, but the restaurant as I found out has been there for a very long time. They boast a great Happy Hour at the bar inside as well as a good size party room to accommodate plenty at one time. I’m not easily impressed...but I was overly impressed by this beautiful place that is my new favorite Traditional Italian Restaurant, with traditional Italian dishes!
We had a private party of 35 people. The service was FANTASTIC!...The food was even better!! I never had veal so tender and delicious as I did there! Everything was great and I can't wait to go back!...see you soon!
Longobardi’s came recommended from locals who suggested a good Italian dinner. This restaurant did not disappoint. I was warmly greeted and served with water and bread to start. I elected to have the veal Parmesan at the suggestion of the server. It came with a choice of soup or salad and vegetables. I chose the minestrone and the greens. My meal was devine. The broccoli was cooked to perfection with garlic, while my two wholesome pieces of veal were sublime. I couldn’t fit dessert in but I definitely would have tried if there was room. I would highly recommend and return.
Group luncheon with about 17 people. Ordered a variety of appetizers including calamari, hot and cold antipasto, mussels and eggplant rollatini. All was excellent. Huge number of specials, all sounded great. Chicken parm was very good, with choice of pastas or vegetables and soup or salad. Excellent option of choosing vegetables instead of pasta for most dishes as there was no other gluten free option. Great coffee too. Restaurant has appearance as just a pizza joint from the outside, but inside is a traditional Italian restaurant. Will return!
The owner Claudio and the staff treat us as though we're around friends and family instead of customers. The food is always great and plentiful, and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting.

Hands down the best restaurant in Wappinger. Italian food done right with great portion sizes, flavorful sauces, and wonderful desserts. Perfect place to bring the whole family! Wine and cocktail menus are stacked as well. A must go if you're in the area.
Wow what an amazing authentic Italian place ! I felt like I was eating back in my homeland. The food, the staff, and the wine are all off the hook amazing!!!
